Gettysburg National Military Park

7th Grade Field Trip

 

Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):

The seventh-grade students will be going on a field trip to Gettysburg, PA! This year's trip will occur on Thursday, May 11th, 2023. It is not mandatory that every seventh-grade student participate; however, we encourage students to attend, as we have found this trip to be a very educational and enjoyable experience. 

The cost of this field trip is $130 per student. The cost includes one meal (dinner) and a GSMS souvenir t-shirt that must be worn on the day of the trip. Boxed lunches will be provided to students at no additional cost to families; however, students are permitted to bring their own lunches with them. If you decide to pack a lunch for your child, then they become responsible for bringing their lunch on this field trip. The busses will be locked while we are touring, so they can leave their lunches on the bus. 

 

Payments: There are 2 dates in which payments are required. The first date is February 24th. Some type of payment or deposit is required by this day. The second payment date is April 14th. THE ENTIRETY OF THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE PAID OFF BY THIS DATE SO THAT WE CAN SECURE BUSING FOR THE TRIP. You are more than welcomed to make small payments between February 24th and April 14th if you do not want to make a lump sum payment. Your child should give their payments to their science teachers (Mrs. Hunter or Mr. Robertson). 

 

CHECKS MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO:  GREENSBURG SALEM MIDDLE SCHOOL 
Students should see Mr. Miliczki or Mr. George if they have questions concerning the current amount they have paid or need to pay. Any student who has problem with payment, please see Mr. George or one of the school principals as soon as possible. 

Students who do not attend the field trip will be required to attend school on May 11th.
